somebody help.... I feel like I could fall over and sleep for a week.

2. protein and a teaspoon of sugar.
post prandial narcolepsy is caused by high carbs/sugars without (or with minimal) protein. the carbs/sugars give you a short energy burst, but without proteins, there's nothing to carry you through once the sugars run out.

so, try again. sugar to get you going right now, and proteins to make sure that you have the follow through energy.

note that this can be (and is, believe me) used as a negotiating tactic. serve a breakfast with carbs but no (or minimal) proteins (e.g., plain bagels or just jam or butter) but, BEFORE your guests arrive, feed your our staff some cheese or nuts. soon, your opposition will be putty in your hands, while your team remains strong.

it's also used as a cult recruiting tool.
