Anyone ever had an experience with an ectopic pregnancy?
I had an ectopic last year, and my hubby and I are about to start trying to conceive again. I am nervous, but my doctor gave me the go ahead, so just wondering if anyone has had one and successfully conceived afterwards!

1. My daughter did
Scary experience for everyone.

But, she was fine, and had a perfectly successful pregnancy after that - just like you will.

Good luck!

7. I think she means "she" was the successful result of a post-ectopic pregn.
Best of luck to you.

I was thinking she meant she was the result of an ectopic pregnancy. Confused me! My mind isn't working today! Thanks! I hope I am successful this time around. O8)

11. My Mom had 4
successful pregnancies following a ruptured ectopic pregnancy! I, on the other hand, went through an ectopic pregnancy, and though able to conceive, my cervix is incapable of carrying a child to term. Fortunately, I had already had a child (boy! 22 years old now!) before the other problems arose. I don't think the ectopic had anything to do with it.

12. Mine didn't rupture.
We luckily caught it in time. I got the Methotrexate shot that dissolved the pregnancy. I am hoping it didn't scar that tube more and create a worse environment for a fertilized egg. My doc said to try again and if it happens again, we will have to remove the tube! I am nervous, but a child is worth the risk!

15. I saw on a TV show that woman had successful ectopic
pregnancy, and gave birth to a boy. But that's neither here nor there.

16. I didn't have one

however, I have had 3 miscarriages, the last one just last week. My daughter was conceived 1-1/2 months after I had miscarried. Granted that was 8 years ago, however I am thinking that since my organs have not been used in that way in such a long time, that it was not all together to handle that stress yet. Hubbie and I are going to try again soon. (real soon!) Do not give up hope, it can happen and it will. You and your hubbie have waited a good amount of time to let the physical/mental body heal. You will have a healthy pregnancy and you will have a very beautiful baby in the next year. I have faith in that. Just remember, that the trying is the most fun part! ;)

17. You should be fine!
You don't even need both fallopian tubes and both ovaries in order to get pregnant! I know you still have both, BUT, if the worst should happen and you lose one side, it won't matter one little bit!

You wouldn't be normal if you weren't a little nervous...but I'm sure that you are fine...Especially with your doctor's go ahead!

And if you will, do keep us posted...We DU'ers love new life, especially when it happens to Democrats and other progressives!
