2. And he later force-removed the men who fought alongside him.
On that count, I consider him an evil bastard and a traitor to the people who helped him win the Battle of New Orleans.

5. Old Hickory was not a nice guy
Homicidal, genocidal (almost like Sabu).

However, I heard he threw a hell of an inauguration party.

13. Vince bought ECW in bankruptcy court
All the old video, the name and I think even the ring. Pennies on the dollar. The ECW retrospective DVD was one of, if not the, best selling wrestling DVDs ever.

IF Vince was smart (and he ain't stupid) he would bring it back, slowly at first. Get a small cable outlet on the late on the weekends(Spike). Let Pauly run it and leave it alone. Chicago was a huge ECW town. Let them run a small circuit (Chicago, Philly, NY, ???) and they could open up a nice little promotion. A promotion where you do not have to be a 6' 5" steroid freak to get over. Maybe, once a year, run small invasions. It would be fun.

which is why I'm also not inclined to get into the you-know-who discussions.

I have to go wash my hands now.

21. Oh. I thought you were talking about Stonewall.

Thomas Jonathan Jackson
(1824-1863)

From his first year at VMI, Jackson was the subject of many cadet pranks. His ungainly appearance, strictness, and lack of humor provided fuel for "much juvenile wit & merriment." Cadets delighted in drawing caricatures on the blackboard in Jackson's classroom--often a sketch depicting an officer with enormous feet (his exceptionally large shoe size inspired "Square Box," one of his several nicknames; others were "Old Jack," "Tom Fool," "Old Hickory"). Other incidents included throwing spitballs in class, making noises when his back was turned, dropping a brick as he passed underneath a barracks window, and pulling linchpins from cannon wheels during artillery drill.

The following excerpt from the 1853 VMI Court Martial Book documents one of many pranks:

Charge- Disrepectful conduct to superior officers.

Specification- In this, that he the said Cadet Thomas Blackburn having by the aid of one or more cadets, fastened cadet J. E. Towson of the Virginia Mil Institute to a chair by cords or straps, did place him when thus fastened on the stoop of the Cadet Barracks immediately in front of the door of the quarters occupied jointly by Major T. J. Jackson Prof. of Nat. Philosophy VMI and Lt. Thos. A. Harris Asst. Prof of Languages VMI, in such a manner that it was impossible for him the said Cadet Towson to extricate himself, and after placing him in this position did violently knock or caused to be knocked the door of the quarters...all of which was disrespectful conduct to his superior officers--this at the Va. Mil. Institute on or about the 23 day of Jany 1853.
