Anybody familiar with a good yoga site?
I'm doing a search online right now, but I was hoping maybe someone here who *does* Yoga would know of a decent site for a beginner.

I can't afford to go to classes, and even if I did... Ugh. I am so not comfortable exercising in front of people, or being in a group period. Especially since I am out of shape, and can't handle exercising too long before I am out of breath and exhausted.

I am interested in yoga, though, as it seems to be something that would help me get back to shape while also giving me techniques to help with my stress level. Which is far too often too high. :).

So basically, I am looking for a site that can teach me the basics, preferrably with some pictures, just so I can start out and decide if it is something I want to put money towards (books, videos, what have you.)

Any help would be much appreciated!

:hi:

1. Do a google on Hatha Yoga. It's a very comfortable
style of yoga for beginners and is focused on stretching and relaxing. If you have the $$$ I'd really recommend taking a beginners class to get the breathing and positions down before doing it on your own, though. Doing certain positions incorrectly can sometimes cause muscle strains or sprains.

2. Thanks
I will look that up now~

If I could afford it, I would. I'm not the type to get overly excited and just jump into things... If I am not comfortable I won't do it and I always take things slowly.

3. Here
If you click on the numbers you'll be taken to different yoga sites with pics. Lots of different sites, so check them all out.

5. You're welcome. I put it together in the hopes of stretching out my
little cheerleaders until they have the flexibility of a Chinese contortionist. :)
