My son...the prisoner...

Tonight our five year old was a bit wound up. After repeated warnings to modify his behaviour-i.e. headbutting daddy, hanging on sis while she was trying to get her homework done, teasing the cat, saying his new favorite word (bastard), my husband gave up gave him a short stern lecture and sent him to his room. A few minutes went by and then I hear the mournful sound of harmonica music. I peeked around the corner, and there he was...head bowed, blowing out a tune that was so melodic and so pretty. This couldn't have been that crazy boy. It was so movie-esque, my husband and I were (silently) rolling. Our boy is a bit of a dramatic, and usually a pretty damn good little guy. It's just tough being only three and a half feet tall I guess.

P.S. We sprung him about 2 minutes later for good behaviour.

2. My almost-12-year-old had to go to his room tonight too

For throwing a squishy plastic pumpkin at his sister's head and making her cry- "It didn't hurt! She was faking it!"

I'm blaming it on the Halloween candy which has already flooded our house. Brace yourself. . .

10. I love it when they say those things. His older sister is always

saying that he is making it up, that she is innocent. That was until one day on a car ride, I caught her in the rear view mirror blowing in his face to irritate him. Sheesh. I think you may be right on the candy. And I volunteered to be room mom to a group of 24 kindergartners...wish me luck. :)

6. We raised two

Both of them were very hard to get mad at, especially the younger one.

8. My son was Velcro boy today

In my face, clinging to me, poking me, asking me a million questions, shadowing me everywhere. A high compliment, I know, but it gets tiresome after about, oh, 16 hours.

16. Fun,fun,fun, It reminds me of when they were nursing, and I

always felt like I had a little marsupial hanging on me...then husband would go to hug me and I would want to holler,"BACK OFF JACK" Ah sweet memories. Yes, 16 hours would be tiring. :)
