3. You forgot Dennis Miller
He's my choice.

And they're all nutsos--and I can add a few more to your list: Gerald McRaney, Tom Selleck, Charlton Heston (of course), and if I took the time, a lot more.

A funny, short story: when I was working at Universal, one of the secretaries I know worked for Gerald McRaney. She left him finally, and I asked her in a sarcastic fashion: "So why'd you leave the hunter Republican?" She replied. "That's why." It made me smile.

19. Why don't we make a comparison?
Let's compare the influence Arnold wields over Hollywood, to the influence Cheney wields over the United States Government?

Go ahead. Make a list. Cheney's influence over the Executive branch versus the influence Arnold makes over the movies made in Hollywood?

Good luck.

22. Lighten up, Francis...
If you want to give Sean Penn shit for being involved and speaking up, go right ahead.

I'm not saying Arnold rules Hollywood with an iron fist. I'd contend that at the time he ran for Governator, he WAS still part of the Hollywood power structure, with T3 coming out, the damn recall election was like a way to get press for the movie.

Arnold still plays on his Hollywood image with his stupid killzingers and one-liners, and he doesn't give anyone the chance to forget he used to be a movie star. And Arnold will go crawling back to Hollywood when he gets bounced in the next election, just like Cheney will be on the first private plane back to Halliburton HQ when he leaves office.

Ronald Reagan was still "Hollywood" for years after he quit making movies and running SAG, to the point of conflating his movie roles with his actual life!

But if you take such vigorous exception to me besmirching Arnold's name in your little poll, please accept my apologies for jostling its scientific accuracy, Mr. Zogby.

12. It's Rosie, plain and simple
Yeah, Tom's an ignorant dipshit, but that's all he is. he's too stupid to be pretentious, though he's certainly an asshole.

Rosie, however, IS a pretentious asshole.

14. Now and forever: MEL FUCKING GIBSON.
Yes, I know he's now openly criticized Iraq as unChristian, which it is and so much more, and maybe as an anti-war activist I should be grateful BUT:

"God ordains everything; God controls whether the sun rises and sets everyday, God made my bed this morning, alright?"

False humility, much, Mel? What an ass.

Plus there was that whole vocal opposition to stem cell research funding in CA that makes me want to puke.

17. Ron Silver is so disgusting he makes me glad I'm me!
This guy is just terrible, as a person, an actor, and a political commentator. He also talks like he has shit in his mouth. Now that's somebody you can look at who makes you feel reeeeel good about what a fine fellow you are.

Feel very good about yourself. You're not this guy!

{Lone_Wolf_Moderate:yourock:for running this "feel good thread.")

18. There is no justification for Tom Cruise to be tied with Ron Silver
Sure he's a borderline psychotic closet case in a bizarre religious cult, but that's harmless compared to a never-was "actor" who completely whored himself out to PNAC.
