Shoe polish, they say to let it dry before buffing. What don't they say?

How long to wait for the stuff to dry. :eyes: Sigh.

I assumed 30 minutes per application was sufficient, and I gave the boots a dual treatment as they were in dire need of a polish...

3. So long ago, but I remember letting it turn opaque and waxy looking

and then buffing with a flannel cloth until the leather was all shiny.
The buffing takes some elbow grease too.

4. what kind of shine are you after?

If you're spit shining, don't use spit use tap water, enzymes in your spit break down the polish.

cotton balls make for a good shine too, remember, always circles.

Do not use as a sandwich spread
Not effective on windows
We're too lazy to think of a better container than these damn little cans
If the dog eats this, you really won't be able to tell shit from shinola:bounce:

6. Many coats, many buffings

and as noted above, cotton balls and tap water.. It takes a while, but it looks good.

You can speed up the process with a butane lighter...just a quick once over before buffing. MOST POLISH IS FLAMMABLE SO USE THIN COATS IF YOU'RE GONIG TO TRY THE LIGHTER.

another quickie way to a bright shine is Kiwi Parade Gloss shoe polish.

Aside from that, as much as the name may bother some, Lincoln Polish is probably the best.
