I consider them part of the punk scene, not part of 80's new wave... Not to split hairs (and, of course, I could be wrong) :shrug:

For me, the original Wire lineup that produced Pink Flag, Chairs Missing and 154 were the shit!
I'd also nominate This Heat, another uncompromising brilliant band.
In fairness, both are more post-punk than new wave....

19. I liked Yaz a lot.
Alison Moyet had a fabulous voice. Add Vince Clarke (who went on to Erasure) and it was perfect.
