1. Try the Apple stores ... online or sites
www.apple.com. Only thing I can think of.

4. Try here...
http://dealmac.com/

Power PC chips ain't easy to find, but they got pretty much everything Mac, including a few processors, and they have forums where you can ask.

5. It might depend on the type of processor
If you're looking for a daughtercard G3 or G4 upgrade I would try eBay first. You can check EveryMac.com for an idea of the upgrade cards that were made for your Mac and the specifications. Their estimated price ranges tend to run high.

Otherwise, DealMac.com is a great source for virtually anything Mac. The posters in their busy forum are very knowledgeable but somewhat arrogant and like to jump on "newbies." So give a bit more detail than you did here including the specific Mac, and processor you are seeking.

DealMac has a working agreement with many Mac vendors including Other World Computing. They offer processors and at times the specials are very good.
