DETROIT -- A high school science class is going to pot -- or at least a pot grower's equipment.

Students in a cash-starved suburban Detroit high school are getting to use the gear seized from the apartment of a marijuana grower.

The horticulture class at Huron High in New Boston will grow vegetables and legal herbs.

Police donated the indoor gardening equipment to the school earlier this month.

The suspect was busted in November after a neighbor smelled smoke.
