Just where the hell's my bliss, anyway?
I really don't have anything serious to complain about, personally. I am extremely grateful every day for my luck. I have great friends and family, there's some nice shit in my apartment, and I have a job. I work hard, and sometimes I play hard. It may be time for a vacation, after 2 years.

There just hasn't been any bliss for a while. Like, no caring about anything at all. This is one of those days where I'm perfectly willing to jump in my car, forsake everything and drive west; not stopping til I hit the fucking ocean.

For example, here's the state of my hometown:

If anyone wants to lay some bliss on me, do it, honeys! I'll love you for it.

PS- Don't ask me, "Have you checked your butt?" cause I have and it's not there. :P

I've been craving a long road trip for while now. I wish I had more time to travel by road. Unfortunately, I have to travel by air since time is limited.

15. Here it is...
(Sugar Smack's Bliss)

It's inside you, outside of time and place, only present when not pursued, and in the here and now. A realization that you are already everything you need to BE.

You are perfect the way you are. You are not your history nor your future. You are not your achievements nor any guilt, fear, or shame you may feel.

You are that pure spirit within, a human BEING, connected with everything and everyone.

May you nurture that spirit, be free and Bliss You.

Magical

That's great! I'd consider having a yard bliss. This is NOT a pity party, BTW; I think there are advantages to living in an apartment. But getting past some guys with their shirts open wandering around & staring ain't that easy.

Tell me where you live. We'll weed your lawn and enjoy the effects of exercise!

I never cared for apartments at all. One advantage though, is they give you the ability to more quickly pull up stakes. That is the only thing I can think of besides the fact that you do not have to spend most of your day off cutting the grass and fighting with the weeds. Though it does look like a park in the back after I mow it.

Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 05:43 AM by Sugar Smack
Thanks for posting that. I love the viewpoint. It reminds me of a couple of years ago, when my father, his young Russian girl friend, and I went rock climbing. We were chatty on the way up, but as we got to the top, we looked around at the beautiful view and noticed other climbers who had fallen silent. It was like that for an hour, as though we were all under a spell. That would be what I'd call "bliss".

I found some peace tonight in the quiet of my own apartment, with the TV turned OFF.

Lots of reading material for those silent TV times...I love the cloth under the TV, too! And your little sideboard, hutchie thing is too cute. Very peaceful and comfy.

Yes, that place in the pic is not too far from here. Lots of other places like that. It takes a bit to climb down to the "pool" area but once you're down, there are more trails along the creek and it is lush and pristine and just too lovely for a picture or words to describe.

Thanks for saying "hi." :hi: Have a bliss-filled Thursday!!!!

It can be such a nice retreat, especially when my upstairs neighbor isn't doing her aerobics (hehe). The books are such a comfort, too.

I love being just close enough to a waterfall to get that beautiful mist on me. There's one in Linville, NC that is amazing, and there are also some great caverns nearby. I'm going to belt myself to this chair so I don't accidentally leap out of it and head toward Linville purely by accident.

Bliss back to you.
