It's sidereal astrology and factors in the movement of our Solar System against the backdrop of the Zodiacal belt. Astrophysically it's true. The ingresses of the signs have indeed moved approximately 23 degrees.

However western tropical astrology still aligns itself with the seasons.

So the question is. . .are you looking up or are you looking around.

Both systems have merits and faults.

Vedic (sidereal) astrology can be very informative and instructive as can western (tropical) astrology, depending on the practitioner and one's relationship with the practitioner. Oh and of course whether or not they're a charlatan or not.

By the way, I have been helping kids with western astrology for a very long time, though I have tremendous respect for many Vedic practitioners.
