NO PHONE THROWING AT WHITE HOUSE: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Sometimes Isaac Newton's law applies even to celebs: Russell Crowe, who is accused of hurling a phone at a New York hotel concierge, not only has been publicly tongue-lashed by his wife, he's been dissed by President Bush.
The Australian press says Bush showed his displeasure by canceling a White House soiree -- with Crowe as guest of honor -- complete with a "Cinderella Man" screening, dinner and a sleepover that had been scheduled Tuesday. That's the gossip: The official story is that it's Crowe who canceled because of what a White House rep calls "scheduling problems."
