Do you have any good ironic stories?

When my grandmother died a few months ago, we were leaving the funeral home after the service to go to the cemetery. When we got in the car to follow the hearse, my dad said "ooh, I like this song" and he turned up the radio. Right at that moment we all looked at each other and laughed. The song was "Another one bites the dust". We thought well that is kind of tacky, but funny, nevertheless.

3. Only slightly ironic

I took my wife to dinner at a very nice restaurant last week (special occasion). They had a dish named after the current president. My wife pointed out the irony - it was chicken.

7. I directed a show at the local community theater...

and during the intermission, one of the stage hands broke a statue of a lion that was on the set. The mess got cleaned up, and the show went on. However, I was in a hurry, and set the wrong song to play for the opening of the act (I was also running sound). The entire "soundtrack" for the show was Patsy Cline and Janis Joplin, and the opening song for the next act was supposed to be "Crazy." But I hit the wrong track number, and what came out was "I Fall To Pieces". The audience and cast and crew members got a big kick out of that one.
