I GOT A JOB!!!

I was recently laid off (notified by phone message after returning from vacation) by my Bush-loving whore of a boss (who only sees $$$, not people). Obviously, that pissed me off mightily, but I sent out resumes to similar companies.

Only one had an opening, so I had the interview yesterday, and today, the new company called me and said I was hired, and at a higher salary than my old job. And even better, I don't start until early July, so it's like an extended vacation with unemployment benefits. Sorry, just had to share. :-)

15. Good for you! You'll be doing the good work. I wish I could afford to

work for little money. The jobs would be soooo much more rewarding.It's just me right now, the SO is job hunting too, so I need to maximize my earning potential. Which isn't much more than 37,000 but I know when we are both employed we will be able to do more with 2 lower salaries if we can get benefits. Elaborate if you wish on your new position!:bounce:

sure you are feeling better at the lite of day , it is always good to beable to see something coming in the future , my son has been layed off for 6 months as a union carpenter , it is'nt looking good for the union people , looks like everybody are looking at non union for jobs right now , have a good evening and good luck on your new work

I'm very happy for you.

I just got a job, too! It's only part-time but it's a foot in the door at a university where I've wanted to work. It took months from the time I applied and interviewed until they offered the position - I'd about given up, but the persistence paid off.

To everyone out there looking for a job and wondering if one will ever materialize - don't give up! Keep your confidence up and keep working at it.
