My proposal for fixing the Senate and The House
Keep all the numbers as they are - two senators from each state, whatever congressmen they are already entitled to.

However, all states can send as many extra elected DEMOCRATIC officials as they want; the limiting numbers only pertain to republicans, assuming the state sends any at all.

So, each states gets two maximum republican senators, but they can have 15 democratic ones. Or, they can just have the 15 democratic ones.

I think this would fix everything.

4. Yes! And that's how we sell it!
Because republicans are so PRECIOUS and RARE and GODLY, we can only have a few of them to maintain their SPECIALNESS and their VALUE. Democrats, being CHEAP and COMMON and UGLY, have to come in by the droves.

We'll tell the Republicans, "Look, one of you is worth, like, 500 of those palsied, flag-burnin' welfare-loving democrats; that's why we have so many democrats, and so few of you."

9. A parliamentary system is the only thing that will "fix" it, and that...
...will only happen if we have a constitutional convention. If that doesn't happen, then we will continue to be nothing but the Roman version of the Blues and Greens.

16. ...And campaign finance reform.
That's the only thing, too.

Take away the money, and our representatives will begin representing people again, instead of dollars.

10. I suggest an ammendment:
If any senator or congressional representative is voted out of office, they will automatically be sent, completely kitted up in standard military issue, to the front lines of any wars, invasions, police-actions or peace-keeping missions they voted to undertake while in office.

12. I would amend it to say that if any senator or congressperson
votes for war, that person, and their children, will be given immediate rank of Sargeant and will be IN that war.

15. No no no...don't make them Sergeants
Sergeant is a prestigious position.

Make 'em Specialists or PFCs.

...an amendment was proposed in Congress that would have put all issues of war to a national vote. Those who voted yes would serve.

17. I had a pretty great idea for fixing things with voting...
Make it so an area has to have a certain population density before it can get a voting place. That way more people inner city people will vote and fewer non- inner city people will vote, and the outcome will be a massive democratic victory, or perhaps an even more left wing victory.

19. I like that idea!
Make it like 10,000 people. That way, in a place like my neigborhood in Harlem, there would be five or six voting places in one square mile.

But in rural areas, it could be as low as one per county.

:-)

Not a very fair system, but certainly one that would favor the dems.
