I was pretty impressed with it. In case you haven't, it's called "30 Days" and it's based on the same premise as Supersize Me, of having to do something difficult, uncomfortable, unusual, etc for 30 days.
The premiere episode had Morgan and his fiancee working for and living on minimum wage for 30 days. It exposed what a joke the federal minimum wage has become.
Morgan got this awful day labor job, and one of the saddest parts was when he was riding out the job site with two other workers. One of them was a middle aged black man who was talking about how he made less now than he did at his first job, working at GM for $7.55/hour in 1976!!!!
It also exposed the plight of people with no medical insurance. His fiancee got a UTI, and had to go to the emergency room. The bill for the visit and some antibiotics was over $470.
Then Morgan hurt his wrist at his job. He tried to go to the free clinic but couldn't get in (too many people.) So, he ended up going to E-room too. His bill ended up being over $1200 for an X-ray and an Ace Bandage.
Anyway, I'm sure it will re-air again this week in case you missed it. It's one of the best mini-documentaries on the working poor that I've ever seen.
