I am double flipping irritable right now!!!
I'm having awful cramps and have a horrible backache. I just took another Tylenol. It's days like these that makes me think having a hysterectomy is a good idea.

1. I'm sorry.
May I suggest a nice box of chocolate?

4. Already tried the sweet stuff
But now I'm just lethargic from coming down from the sugar buzz since I don't eat that stuff that often.

Off-topic, but I made the most fabulous banana upside down cake yesterday. It was awesome with some vanilla ice cream.

2. A hysterectomy is a good thing.
Don't miss that monthly nonsense at all! Anyway, sorry you're not feeling well. I always found that getting rip-roaring drunk was helpful - then you could lie in bed the next day, with cramps AND a hangover!

5. Can't get drunk
I need to be taking a shower so I can go to work. And since I'm down to only my PT job and don't have sick days, calling off is not an option. :-(

A hysterectomy may be, though. I have an appointment at the U. of Chicago Hospital next week.

3. Have you ever consulted a nutritionist?
Mrs. IconCat suffered pretty horribly too, but she altered her diet after talking to a nutionist who was recommended by her OB/GYN, and her symptoms seemed to decrease.

8. My problem is caused by fibroids
I have a bunch of tumors right now and my uterus is the size of a 5-month pregnancy. I shouldn't get into the gory details but I'm feeling shitty and sorry for myself right now.

9. Oh, that sucks!
What are you going to do about that? Are fibroids dangerous?

11. Not really
unless you start bleeding so much that you have to go to the hospital. That hasn't happened, but I have been anemic a couple of times. It's just benign tissue masses. Periods just really suck and my uterus is so big that I can't fit in any of my pants and it's pressing on my bladder.

I'll find out next week what I'm going to do about it. The guy I'm seeing is among the top in the field, so I trust the course he'll recommend.

6. I read on USA Today
That a study was done and they found out large doses of vitamin D will help with your pain.

12. I've heard that as well
I take a multivitamin and eat quite well, but I bet it's not high enough. My body's just not functioning normally right now.

7. Oh... Thank god I don't have cramps as well...
But I am more irritable than you are! :P

(And I'm with you on the hysterectomy... I keep telling my body that I'm not going to have kids...but no... same old crap every month.)

10. God, that would *really* suck
I can commiserate, though. I quit three years ago after smoking since I was a teen. (That's A LOT of years.) The first few days were a living hell, the first week a nightmare and the first month nearly unbearable. It really gets better, though.

Jason smokes (outside only) and it doesn't bother me or make me want to smoke.

You'll get through it!

13. Awww...
I'm sorry to hear you're in pain. Can you get anything stronger than Tylenol from your doctor? If he knows the situation, perhaps you could call and he might phone in a prescription for you. No one should have to suffer needlessly.

Hoping it lets up soon...

14. What happens if you do a little light exercise?
Since I have incorporated exercise into my daily routine, I don't have any problems with cramps.

Either way, I hope you're feeling better soon.
