Backstory: I write software for fun. Yes, I'm a nerd, just like "Revenge of the Nerds." So what, wanna fight about it? Anyway, just about all the people I've ever showed any of my stuff to have said that I should a) patend it and b) sell it. I've found a place to host a website and a company that will handle on-line orders so I don't have to. I have the products (mostly games, but a few educatonal tools as well). I don't want to rush into this and end up like ** with his oil companies since I don't have a rich father to bail me out, but owning a software company is what I'm looking toward for a long term career goal and I figure the sooner I get started, the better. What other things should I be considering before I get any sort of startup going? Advice? Suggestions? Anything will help.
