Just saw Batman Begins. It wasn't very good.
It was FUCKING FANTASTIC.

I have been a Batman fan all my life. And by all my life, I mean ALL my life, since before I could talk. When I was in the second grade, my teacher asked us to go to the front of the room and give the rest of the class a definition of a word that they might not know. My contribution was "modus operandi", gleaned from the words of Commissioner Gordon in a Batman comic book. My teacher called my Mom that night and told her I was reading stuff that may be too "mature" for me. My Mom informed her that she was okay with this, and that in fact, my Dad read all my Batman comic books too!

As I type this, I have a painting of Batman in my office, swinging down on his Batrope and looking very pissed off. This painting was created by my Dad.

Anyway, I just have to say that this movie was the one I have waited for MY WHOLE LIFE. God bless Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale. God bless the whole fucking amazing cast. Everything about this movie was just incredible. For once, in 40 fucking years, Batman has a car (the new Batmobile, the "Tumbler") that is 100% bad-ass and completely worthy of him (as opposed to that giant, impractical turd of a car in the Burton and Schumacher movies). For once, in 40 fucking years, Batman is portrayed as a real flesh-and-blood human being who has SERIOUS issues. For once, in 40 fucking years, all of Batman's equipment and methods are actually explained.

I can't say enough good things about this movie. I am having a Bat-orgasm here. All I can say is...please see it.

4. How old is your kid?
This is Batman, not Superman. It's creepy and gothic, suspenseful and frightening. Hell, a major theme of the movie is the power of fear.

I wouldn't take him if he's not at least 10. But then, I'm not you and he's not my kid. *butts out*

7. I agree with you
I don't think I'd take anyone less than 10 to see this. Some of the Scarecrow scenes were downright scary, even for an adult. And the scene where Bruce's parents are killed would also be, in my opinion, tough for a little kid to take. That, for the first time, was very honestly portrayed.

3. I'm not even a Batman fan and I saw it tonight and I liked it too!

I went to see it because I love Christian Bale and it had Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Rutger Hauer, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman and as Enraged-Ape said, the best damn back story of any comic book hero I have ever seen. It explains just about everything. I remember being a bit confused about how Batman knew where to be all the time, but it was still a good movie to this old woman. Oh, and Katie Holmes was good too!

5. I loved it.
I sat there for 2.5 hours with a big, stupid grin on my face. Virtually every single second of that movie was beautiful.

9. Now that I've heard an opinion from a guy who has Pliskin
as his avator.

I have to say I will now see this movie as I have now heard from a very reputable source that it is quite good.

11. Oh, you will love it
If you love Plisskin, you will go absolutely nuts. Christian Bale's Batman is Snake Plisskin on steroids.

10. I loved it too!
The kids and I saw it today. O...M...G...it was awesome. I loved the stealth Batmobile! And the look and feel was kept very close to the comic books.

12. Thank goodness.
The last batman movie was like a bad power rangers episode. I'll have to go see this one.
