Can't sleep...Chuck E. Cheese will eat me... Stupidest nightmare EVER!
Edited on Fri Jun-17-05 12:30 AM by AlienGirl
Lately I've had a series of really bad nightmares about a ghost chasing me. In the dreams, this ghost can't do anything without a host body, so it hops from body to body posessing people. It wants to kill me and the scariest thing is I can never predict who or what it will turn up in next!

The most recent actually made me yell and wake up in a panic attack. In this dream, I had taken the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and games, and the ghost posessed the giant animatronic Chuck E. and started coming after me. :scared:

The stupid thing is, even thinking about that nightmare makes me feel a little bit panicky. Anyone else ever have a drem that was just utterly stupid, but scared the crap out of you anyway?

7. I hate dreams like that!
The worst was the one where these giant dragonflies had flown through a fan in an air duct and their abdomens were all cut up, and I was trying to save their lives. I woke up feeling so helpless!

Giant Corporate Mouse, keeper of the magic tokens that produce tickets to win worthless prizes.... I took my nephew there for his birthday years ago, and blew $50 easily. :scared:

11. Had similar dreams a few years back
The worst was a dragon that was like the one in the Neverending Story, only green. It would chase me into my living room, and through a modern Gothic row of warehouses. But I had other things that would chase me, like dogs, bears, people. I couldn't stop them. Sometimes I would start punching them but they would keep coming. Other times I would have a gun or a knife, and I would shoot or stab repeatedly, but it didn't stop. So the fear combined with frustration and helplessness.

I think one of two things caused them. One, I was eating badly, and my cholesterol was creeping up high enough to affect my memory, and I'm always convinced those types of dreams are warning me that my body is in danger, somehow, that I'm sick and don't realize it yet, but my body knows it enough to warn me through my dreams. My other thought was it was my marriage. I was trying to leave my wife then, and she was manipulating a lot of things to prevent it, and I felt trapped and helpless, like no matter what I did, I couldn't save myself.

Nightmares ended when I changed my diet, and also when I made an emotional adjustment to distance myself from the spouse. I knew the dreams were finally over when I dreamed that the dragon had cornered me, and was about to pounce, when I started talking to it, and it settled down and told me it was just playing, and then flew away.

The wierd stuff you talk about on DU after midnight....
