Woman Attacked Snoring Husband: Stabbed Him With Pen, Hit Him With Dumbell
<snip>

FARGO, N.D. --A woman upset about her husband's snoring is accused of stabbing him with a pen and hitting him with a dumbbell to wake him up. DeAnn Miller-Boschert, 45, was charged Thursday with simple assault, a misdemeanor.

Police Sgt. Jeff Skuza said the woman first poured water on her husband early Thursday morning, but that did not wake him up.

"She then stabbed him with a pen in the arm twice," Skuza said. "After he went back to sleep after the pen thing, she woke him up again with a workout weight."

Skuza said the man called police from a convenience store at around 4 a.m. Thursday. He was not seriously hurt and did not seek medical attention, Skuza said.

Skuza said the man had "two fresh puncture marks" from the pen but showed no signs of being hit with the 3-pound dumbbell.

"He did have some scratches on his shoulders and arms that he said were from previous attacks," Skuza said.

Officers said Miller-Boschert told them she wanted her husband to sleep on his side, to prevent him from snoring. She was taken to the Cass County Jail pending a court appearance Friday.

Skuza said the man returned to his home.

"I assume he went back to sleep," Skuza said.

Haven't you ever slept with someone who sounded like a freight train? At 4AM when you have to get up at 6, that thought isn't unusual, lol.

5. Geez, I only kick my SO
to get him to stop snoring. And if he's really bad I make him go sleep on the couch. Stabbing is overdoing it just a little.

7. Yes, you would think they would have separated by now
into different bedrooms to sleep. Or get him to have surgery.

It's just silly to keep accepting the situation to the point you want to do violence to your bed partner.

12. Snoring on that level
indicates that the guy might have sleep apnea. The louder the snore, the higher the chances are. He should see a doctor and get hooked up to a CPAP machine--the sooner, the better. People aren't aware that sleep apnea can cause horrific illness and early death. One of my best friends died at the age of 57 from pulmonary hypertension caused by sleep apnea.

15. He must have some sort of sleep disorder to sleep
through all of that crap! I mean maybe that was the only way she could get his ass to wake up! (of course I am being sarcastic, but funny serious at the same time)
