How do I know if she DISlikes me?
It's easy to tell if someone doesn't like you when you're a kid, because other kids will just tell you flat-out, but this is a fellow adult woman, so it's kind of confusing. She seemed glad to make me tea once when I was sick, but when I'm in the computer lab and she walks in, she never even says hi to me. If I knock on her door and ask how she's doing, she seems to like talking to me, but she's never come to my door (we live across from each other). What's going on?

2. She's not shy at all
She's one of the more social people I know. It seems to be just me.

So either she really dislikes you or she really likes you.

4. Not everyone's the same...but
I don't make tea for people I dislike.

If anything, I'd think that she may be limited by her own impressions of you. Maybe she doesn't chat with your or say hi in the lab because her impression is that you're all business, or very studious, or that you're shy or uncomfortable around people. Or whatever.

Still, most folks don't go out of their way for people they dislike. So, I'm thinking she doesn't dislike you, but she may not feel very much of an affinity with you.

5. well she doesn't dislike you but
I would be confused by her signals, too. Maybe the tea thing was "caregiving in general" ... like a nurse. Keep talking and see if anything else develops, but I think you are confused for a reason, her signals are unclear.

7. Glad I'm not the only one
who'd be confused. I guess life is just complicated.
