4. I was sick of him before you...when top gun came out.

however, I did watch "last samauri" this week and I thought that was a good movie. It could have been a good movie with someone else in his role, though.

Same with "vanilla sky"...good remake of a good movie, but still, almost any other actor could have done a better job.

The most ridulous casting of Cruise was in Mission Impossible. He puts on the digitized face to pretend to be someone...only thing, how long did they have to look to find someone who was that short?

at any rate, I know a lot women (and men) find him sexy. I just don't think sexy is always necessary.

The War of the Worlds looks interesting but I'm so sick of hearing about Tom Cruise that I probably won't see it.

5. He honestly isn't that interesting.

He's a mediocre at best actor (and "actor" besides his name is being generous, since he's basically playing the same damned character in every single movie he appears in), he's no great intellect, he has almost no charisma that I could discern, and he ain't all that good looking.

I am continually mystified as to why this man has the attention and popularity he does.
