The Bunny Man
Edited on Fri Oct-31-03 02:26 PM by Chilly_Willy
Just got a chance to read the article about the Bunny Man in Northern VA..... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A44387-2003Oct30.html

So far there is no evidence of any of the urban legend stories about the bunny man except :

"There was on at least two occasions a man in a bunny suit throwing hatchets at people."
— BRIAN CONLEY
Fairfax County Public Library historian and archivist

It's all a legend until there's really a bunny man under the bridge...

1. I used to call my boyfriend
Bunny Man. That was before he broke my heart.
Where is this bridge you speak of?

2. oh my gosh
I grew up in Reston, I remember tales of the Bunny Man, there was supposed to be an old abandoned house somewhere in Reston (back in the woods) where the Bunny Man lived. He was a bunny suit wearing axe murderer who killed his entire family (then hung himself?). And of course his evil presence still haunted the old house. Some kids I knew in high school said they visited the old house (late at night) and it was terrifying and they all freaked out and ran screaming from the place. People insisted there was a true basis to the bunny man stories.

So I guess the Bunny Man location is actually near Clifton (or Springfield). A bridge doesn't seem as scary as an abandoned house but. . . .

3. strange thing...
Ok it looks like a bridge in that picture but ... if you have been there, there is no real bridge connecting anything! It's just this cement part of a bridge in the middle of nowhere. It's a one laned bridge so you either get out and walk thru or drive thru quickly b/c it's really freaky like in a horror movie on one side of the bridge is pretty much big houses off of Pope's head road, then the bridge then farm lands and no lights at night time is freaky!
