Would Home Owners Insurance Cover A Car Break In In Mexico?
My Trooper was broken into when they smashed the passenger side window. They took a $2,000 camera and my cell phone. It cost $180 to have the window replaced.

Is their a chance Home Owners Insurance would cover my losses. I have a police report.

1. Check your policy
And from what I hear from my sister's Mexican husband, there's a good chance it was the cops.

3. I think I know who did it actually
We were on a beach all alone in Mulege and we noticed a man that seemed to appear and disappear probably watching us and waiting for his chance to make his move. Two of us were snorkeling and when the other person left to go to the bathroom someone moved in. It was either him or someone driving buy selling something and saw no one their.

After seeing all the poverty I don't feel so bad about my loss. I am lucky to live the way I do.

4. I did that but it didn't cover petty theft and had a $500 deductible

5. sometimes credit cards offer miscellaneous insurance coverage
in those little fine-print brochures that come with new credit cards?

Anyway what a bummer. I had 50 bucks stolen out of my pocket in Mexico City once. Looked for it for about three hours til I finally figured it out. They can do that!
