11. because she ain't from New York!
unlike Tom Cruise and my mom who were born there. Also, she was basically "appointed" by the party "leadership" and I thought the people of New York should have a Democratic alternative. So I ran against her in the primary. Okay, I tried to, my campaign never got off the ground. If only Tom had endorsed me.

13. Kansas? Then you should have moved to NC and ran for Senate there.
Hey, Bob Dole's wife got away with it.

17. Well, I could do South Carolina
since I was born there, but I have few connections to the North. Was Elizabeth Dole ever from Kansas? I bet she hasn't spent more than two weeks here.
Celebrity carbetbaggers irk me.

15. My mom was born there
so I feel I am at least half New Yorker. We visited my grandparents every summer as a kid. Also, I am a member of the working class and so can better relate to ordinary people.
That was my campaign slogan - my mom was born in New York. Also, I was going to be the "candidate with callouses" (and unlike Rudy Guiliani, my callouses are on my hands, not on my heart).

18. Hey, if she had run in Illinois or Arkansas or DC
I would be all for her. But I just do not think what she did in New York should be legal. Every state should have a six year residency requirement.

20. there are almost 19,000,000 people living in New York
So the person best qualified to represent them is someone who "moves" there six months before the election? Maybe I am just too territorial. I just think a person should have to live in a state for a while before they run for one of its highest offices. It does not mean I would vote for Brownback or Roberts if Wesley Clark came to Kansas to run against them, but I would oppose him in the primary, just on general principles. And he has probably lived in Leavenworth while going to CGSC, but he is simply not a Kansan.

23. I think that the big attraction to what
Tom Cruise does or does not do is because there is something about him we just can't figure out. Is he gay, asexual, bisexual, or heterosexual? The problem is that we've never seen any proof of any of these. That is why everyone gets so obessed with what he does in his personal life. Plus the fact that he seems to try to convince us of his heterosexuality by these publicity stunts. There seems to be something lacking in him and being a Scientologist just reinforces that.

24. I picked
"I wish Katie loved me instead." I always have had a crush on her, though if she stays with Tom and Scientology for long, she'd lose some allure.
