Anything I can do to work smarter would be great; there's no reason why I need to do a truckload of manual typing.

I've seen a few programs, which are otherwise ideal, but they lack some really obvious components (basic layout stuff; despite some limited functionaity you're stick with how THEY want you to do things) - and yet they still want to charge $50 for it. :eyes:
