Poll question: Should I put a curse on Dubya? The last Pres I cursed was the Nix in 72.
I was 15 at the time. I've a lot more books on such things now. The last time I did any such rituals was in 1999. I know you hurt yourself when you use the dark side of the force, and let the hate flow, but if it's to take down someone truly evil, isn't it worth sustaining a little damage?

1. Other
There isn't a damn thing you can do to Bush by yourself. So magical spells will do no good. But together we can make a difference.

5. My understanding is
(and those that practice wicca and other religions, please correct me)
that the rule of three pertains to this. What you do when you curse, comes back three fold to you. However, you can do a spell for balance, so that what evil Bush does, comes back to him. If he doesn't merit the balance, he isn't injured, and neither are you. Obviously he does merit poor karma, I know.

14. My roots are more Theosophical Society, than they are Wiccan.
And it's something I've studied on my own, rather than with anyone else. If people want to practice "Wicca" as a religion that's fine, it's just not for me. I prefer a more scientific approach. I don't follow Wicca rules. Truth be told most Wicca material I find to be written by people who may or may not have read something that I'd actually like to read.

16. Was wondering about the rules of three myself
Can't begin to imagine what Bush has coming his way with balance.

9. I'd rather keep it light, and there are some broad truths in those movies.
Of course Lucas borrowed from a lot of source material. I'm far enough along in my studies of such things that I'm not concerned about losing credibility. It is a very interesting theoretical area involving coincidence and the interconnectivity of all things. I'd rather have a sense of humor, and be a bit distracted about it. I'm sure this attitude would really annoy some people. May the force be with you.

12. I voted no 'cause I'm aware of at least three people who've cursed

Bush already. For the bad shit he deserves to be cursed for (screwing over the veterans, making new veterans and killing lots and lots of Americans and non-Americans with the rest of his evil policies, both foreign and domestic). And I mean yucky, evil, black magic (yes, I know those aren't the terms they use for their efforts, I'm just being euphamistic) curses with actual secretive, not-for-public elements to them. Let those folks deal with the blowback from the casting of those curses. Especially because I'm pretty sure we're seeing the beginnings of the negative effects of those curses, hexes and poxes kicking in. Unless you really feel the need. But come on--do you really feel the need?

13. My personal opinion is that throwing curse is bad mojo and
magic is not something to be played with. But if you're determined to be a martyr in order to "curse" someone who's going to eventually be deep-sixed as a matter of natural selection, just remember that when you "use the dark side" you risk becoming part of it.

Do it! The repugs have so much bad karma banked from what they did to Clinton that you can curse him with cosmic impunity.

23. Well, it would require some effort to do it right.
I'd have to set aside some time, get set up for it, and get myself in the proper state of mind. I only have one day off per week, on which I usually try to recover, and get a bit done. I've pretty much decided to do it, and am now thinking of when I might have time. Tomorrow night would be good, astrologically speaking, but I'm so worn out today. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 06:27 PM by I Have A Dream
doesn't have to be a curse. I don't think that it's bad magic to ask that this happen for the highest good of all involved. You're not doing it for personal gain. Just don't ask that he be hurt physically. Just ask that our country be saved from him by having him be removed from office.

I have to ask how you managed to not be tempted while Reagan was in office.

20. I was thinking something similar to Nixon would be appropriate
Such as having his lies and criminality exposed, the losing of his public support, and his being driven from office. Of course he still beat McGovern, but these things take time sometimes.
