For some, that's enough.
But I do accept when my friends kill turkeys and give them to me. Or their extra fish.

18. Exactly.
Free is free. And it's fresh so it tastes much better too.
I know where it came from and I know how it was killed and processed. So I figure it is much healthier for my daughter than going to the store and purchasing it in cellophane.

20. I agree with everything you're sayin
so many things happen to our food before we see it ... we don't need to eat meats laced with antibiotics and chemicals ... and I don't believe that there is an acceptable level of rat feces in human food as the board of health does

28. I do too.
I dispatched for a small town once. They had a "deer kill" list. If someone hit a deer, you had to call down the list until someone said that they would pick it up. We called it the "Free PD Roadkill List".
You'd be surprised at how many people were on the list-and most of them were not poor.

37. I'd believe it.
I understand a few of the places on the list. One of them was a church that offered a free meal for anyone in the community on Sunday night (lots of migrant workers, homeless and elderly used to attend this meal. And they didn't try to convert others to their religion). Another was a person who would process the meat free of charge and donate it to the local food pantry. But quite a few were just greedy and wanted something for nothing.

9. You seriously injure yourself protectin' your woman from a squirrel...
Yes. It happened to a member on the redneck side of our extended family. We just hear about them and roll our eyes. Big time Freeper/Aggie. There was a squirrel in the house. He got the rifle and shot himself.

The squirrel was not injured.

Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 07:46 PM by brainshrub
so you have to vote Republican.

Think about it, because ultimately that's why Republicans win elections. The only thing I agree with conservatives about is that, somewhere along the line, Liberals got a bit snooty and started looking down on rural folk.

IMHO, rural "rednecks" have to dump a racist ideas and Liberals have to dump elitist ones. Ideas such as: "Just because you can't afford to buy your art at Pier One, there is something inherently wrong with the art you do own."

46. You might be a redneck if...
...your idea of fast food is hitting a deer at 55 mph.
...you can amuse yourself for more than an hour with a flyswatter.
...your neighbors think you're a detective because a cop always brings you home.

And finally--

...if your mother has ever come out of the bathroom and said "Y'all come look at this afore I flush it."
