The Chicago White Sox sweep the Dodgers

Simply the best team in baseball.

By the way, how did the Cubs do today?

1. All the better for my Padres!
Keep LA as far behind as possible.

10. Padres are a pretty good team.
How do you like the new park? A colleague of mine went there a couple of weeks ago and said the park was awesome.

5. I have no idea.
I got that from google-ing "brooms". (BTW, sorry to you about the Cubs comment. I know you are a huge Cubs fan. Maybe they'll turn it around AFTER next week-end).

3. Cubs lost all three to the Yankees.

Again, there you go caring about the Cubs. Are they in your division all of a sudden?

And the Cubs swept the Dodgers this year, too. I know, cause I was there for all three. How many Sox games you get out to this year?

8. Geez...can't a fella show a little interest in his home-town team?
Sadly, I have not been to a Sox game this year. Since leaving Chicago for the northern 'burbs, raising a family, and running a business, getting to the old ball yard is tough. I do, though, get to watch most games in HD on my gigantic 65 inch (I know, I know, it's cheesy, but, man do games look great on that monster). I will be going in July since my old firm still maintains a skybox. I love being at the park. (I also try to get to at least one game each year up in Milwaukee...great seats to be had at game time, and a pretty col park to boot). I prefer to watch baseball at the park. However, I'd much rather watch football at home.

4. Cleveland swept........
San Diego, Frisco, and Arizona.

If only they can sart to win in their own league, or even their division.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. :bounce:

6. Cleveland's looking dangerous
Minnesota is also a terrific team. It'll be a fun season. Whatever happens, this division will probably have the wild-card.

9. The Cards are always in the hunt.
I liked LaRussa when he was our manager. Smart guy. Any team that beats teh Cubs regularly is my second favorite.

12. Too early to tell
They play a National league type of game. Speed, good defense, good pitching, and timely hitting. I'm afraid though, that despite the bullpen's early success, they need a pure closer. Shingo has been solved and Hermanson is pretty good, but not spectacular. Lots of baseball to play, and the Twins and Indians are damned good teams. The Sox have yet to win a post-season series. It's been a fun season so far, but I hate to count chickens before they hatch.
