I have a Cat sitting in here talking to a moth on the screen door.
She is very vocal about this bug. She has had to come and tell me about it a few times as well.

1. our cat will do that with birds
sometimes it's a quick rrrow-wow, or her jaw will kind of quiver while she softly vocalizes - it's wierd

2. chattering it's called
Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 10:35 PM by Tom Kitten
when I lived in a second floor apartment my cat would sit in the window and stare at the birds sitting on the telephone wire a few feet away. I thought it was kinda cute...

But never at moths although he will snap at bugs buzzing him...

3. That's what my cats were doing in this picture.
Watching "birdies" in the tree, their tails were swishing in unison.
I was so glad I found the camera that day! :)

5. Hilarious
The guy on the right looks like my cat. Dead ringer. Is he a Maine Coon?

9. Nope. Oreo is a domestic longhair.
The others are domestic shorthairs.

6. Make no mistake. They are predators. Imagine one if you were a bug.
By the way, those are some big cats! Open up a leaf on that table, will you?

10. Bugs do not survive in this home.
Oreo is huntress-extraordinaire. She thinks bugs and spiders are delicious. :9

4. We have a Mockingbird in the bush in front of our front door and window.
It has a nest and it likes to sit and scold the cats when they sit in the window and at the door when we have it open. It drives our cats crazy. They fuss and meow at that bird.

7. My cats always say it is the moth talking to THEM.
They chatter to be polite (before they kill it).

12. She may have felt an obligation to keep you informed,
but you should not feel that you have any right to interfere in such delicate negotiations.
