$50.00 MOUSE PAD? (Yes, for "Competition Mousing")
:eyes:

<snip>

We know what you're thinking. "ExtremeTech reviews mouse pads now? Gimme a break." We usually think the same thing. But when we caught wind of a truly "extreme" mouse pad…excuse me…mousing surface that costs more than most mice and as much as a brand-new AAA game, we were intrigued. What could possibly make it worth that kind of money?

fUnc Industries certainly is serious about its professional-grade mousing around. The company makes the sUrface 1030 Competition Mousing Surface, similar to the product reviewed here but with a rubberized bottom mat, and has received pretty wide acclaim from the "pros" for it. It even produces and markets Anti-Friction Liquid—and we're not making that up—to further reduce mouse drag by slickening up the feet on the bottom of it. So what makes fUnc's top-of-the-line product so special? Let's take a look.

3. Hehehehe, I can think of a LOT of other ways to spend my cash, that said
I have an old version of their mousepad (the all rubber & plastic version, no aluminum), I paid $15.00 for it, and it's very, very nice.

Never in a million years would I pay more than that $15 for a mousepad though (and yes, the $15 was money well spent if you're into gaming at all because it gives a much quicker response and, for that matter, more accurate response to mouse movements with an optical mouse).

5. It may sound ridiculous, but I just got a mouse pad "upgrade" at work,
and damn if my wrist and elbows aren't significantly relieved.

The new pad has far more traction and a nifty gel wristpad. It really does make a difference.
