Wow! All these folks with front row seats, or opportunities to get 'em. Hey, we've got them for Pink Martini's "seven-year-itch, yes, the album is FINALLY coming out, CD release bash" with the Oregon Symphony on Valentine's Day at the Schnitzer in Portland. This seems strange, as it always does. I've only been in the front row a few times in my life. (Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers at Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Top Dog/Underdog on Broadway, and Metamorphosis on Broadway). All of them by accident, including this one.
When we ordered our season tix for the symphony, I ordered tix for the Pink Martini show, too. You had to order by section, with seats going on a first-ordered basis. I was lucky enough to get them before they went on sale to the general public. Now I feel semi-guilty for being a season subscriber to the symphony. But should I?
I think not. I sit in the rafters for the symphony. It's my friggin' turn!
Enjoy those seats!
