AP- Schindler's lawyer to appeal Jackson Verdict
Edited on Mon Jun-20-05 09:22 AM by underpants
AP (Miami)- The attorney who represented Terri Schiavo's parents in her right to life battle has announced that he is appealing the verdict reached last week in the Michael Jackson child molestation trial.

David Gibbs, flush from verification of his arguments in the Schiavo case as a result of autopsy results, said Sunday that he is answering the call to appeal the Jackson verdict.

"Due to my incredible success in the Schiavo matter I will heed the call to go to California and right the wrong that was committed there last week", Gibbs said. He would not answer questions about where the call came from or who would pay his legal fees.

Florida Governor Jeb Bush simultaneously announced that he will send a crack team of experienced professionals to California to assist in recounting the jury votes. "I feel that, in addition to do everything I could possibly do in the Schiavo case, we have a responsibility to make sure justice is served and to authenticate the jury voting in the Jackson case". When asked who would comprise the task force he mentioned former Florida vote counter Katherine Harris as well as current Ohio Secretary of State J.Kenneth Blackwell noting, "They have illustrated time and time again their ability to make sure the facts match what we already knew to be the truth".

It is not known at this time what obscure corner of their collective asses these people got the notion that they had jurisdiction or any thing close to legal precedent for taking such actions.
