Anyone know of a truly free fax program I can use with Word?

1. What do you mean?

You can fax directly from word if you have a phone modem. I have DSL but I installed a cheap $10 modem just for that purpose.

3. I have a modem and a high speed connection. My computer has a

FAX wizard where you can send a fax straight from a word doc, but asks which program I want to use in order to make the fax go. I think I need some sort of software in order to use the feature. I have Windows ME (I know, I know) There are sites on the web where you can pay a small fee and fax through them but I was hoping for a freeware program to solve the problem. I never send faxes, but I'm job hunting and some employers want the resume via fax.

5. I remember there used to be

a program where the fax program was tied into the printer menu. You would send it "to print" and select instead a remote fax machine as the "printer." Try this link at Microsoft to see if it addresses your question:

2. Are you using windows XP?

It's included but needs to be installed.
