Bazaar street names with a pattern....

Not that weird, I guess. I happen to live on a poisonous tree street.

5. There's a developement near me named after Lord of the Rings books

Built in the '60's and 70's, I think. It was a very extensive planned community and various segments are named on themes. One part is named after locations from the Lord of the Rings trilogy of books. Was pretty cool, as when I first encountered this location I was very into medieval recreation battles.

7. I used to live

in the Saint Streets area, on St. Mary Blvd., one of about 10 saint-named streets. A friend used to say I lived in the "Holy Land." :)

10. A subdivision I know of has several different street name themes.

There are bird names, flower names, royal names (i.e. Queen and Prince), Ivy League names (i.e. Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Loyola, etc.), Planet names, Mythological names, (i.e. Argonaut, Argus, Orchis, etc.), Sea names (i.e. Porpoise, Cowry), and woman's names (Bonita, Miranda).

with street names with an old west theme (stage coach, hitching post, old post, etc...) strange for eastern massachusetts.

12. Streets at Seaside Heights NJ

near the beach are (were?) named after Civil War generals. Drove my military history buff friend nuts over who got placed next to whom... ("But they hated each other? Why would they do that!!!?")

There's a development near me here in FL called Diana Shores. I used to think it was named "Dinah Shores" until I noticed the streets were named Apollo, Pluto, etc...

13. There's a local neighborhood nicknamed "Birdland"

because, obviously, every street is named after a different bird species. Not very odd, but certainly well known in the area.
