I have in mind that Shostakovich's music isn't always very harmonic on purpose. Or am I messing that up?

14. not usually
There are a few calming parts, but most of it is like sitting in your mom's car on a rainy March afternoon while your brother is in the dentist office, looking out the passenger window, watching trucks splash by, telling your little sister it's going to be okay.

Like that.

22. She was ordering a book
and my co-worker went to the stack and found that she still has it. And now instead of saying "Oh I need to look again in my office" she is more or less telling us we made a mistake and that we lost it or whatever. It wasn't the only book she got on that day and she still has all of them. We have a paper in the stack where the book normally stands (her order with her signature) and we have the book still on the list of her checked-out books. Then she says, oh maybe she gave it to the restauration (:wtf: that is our job) or maybe .... We told our boss about and she talked to the lady. Who is now offended

Sorry ... but you asked :)

Today I have lined up a pic of two men kissing rather passionately. I have pics of women doing the same saved back, some bondage pics, etc.
I will really enjoy the looks on their faces when they see that.

Goodbye, Northern Lights (my current screensaver)!

They like to check their mail before they attend service (and no, they won't go to church w/ me-my church is too "liberal" and isn't the "real thing").
I'm going for the pic where he is tied up or maybe the one w/ the ball gag-haven't decided yet.

48. how yummy ....
I feel for you. That reminds me of the one and only time I went with my ex-bf to visit his family in Monroe, LA. We stayed at his sisters house first. Or should I say the cockroaches allowed his sister and her kids to stay there. They were everywhere. Bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen (even INSIDE the f* fridge) :shudder: My legs looked horrible because those nasty things bit me during the night. We then decided to move to a motel. I rather payed that then staying at that house a minute longer.

Roaches are easy to pick up and hard to get rid of. But when they have gotten to that level you can assume that no one (her and her neighbours) have tried anything.

actually her son was already in therapy (in a closed psychiatry). Her daugher (back then she was 20) was pregnant with her second kid and was during the 3 weeks we were there in and out of the hospital because she didn't drink enough and started bleeding. Meanwhile she kept smoking pot and didn't give a damn about what the docs told her. And she couldn't handle her daughter who was (and by probably is even more) a spoiled brat.

I plan to attend his church just once next year and prove that I can pass through the doorway of a church and not be struck down immediately (that ought to really piss him off!)

93. it will be more difficult as time goes on
because the album will be growing ... when you do have access to a printer you might want to pull a few different copies so you can rotate them for variety.

82. I've been a bit preoccupied
I did spend the weekend scanning things like this>>><<<I haven't had the time to sort through my old pictures ... I packed them all away several years ago. I've been taking new pictures but I just need to take my camera and ride alone for awhile. Then you'll have additional tidbits to critique but I've never been one to enter competitions so I'm not making any promises about that.

91. when I have something new to show I'll post them in the Photo Group
there are several old sets of related photos that could put together as a thread ... but you know me ~ that might not happen until winter returns

not quite sure if I would call that "soon" :)

So the A/C is working properly again? Good to hear. I could use one also here since we have wonderful summer weather here now :bounce:

87. same here
temps over 30°C. Love it. I am considering going to my aunt at the Lake Constance over the weekend. Then I can swim in the lake and sunbath on her terasse. I just need to call her and ask her if she is home.

95. That warm?
I didn't know that temperatures could get that high in Germany. Is that the norm? (I learned something new. )

Going to the lake sounds like a great idea!

BTW, how do you type in the degree symbol? :dunce:

96. yep, during the summer it can get that warm
2003 we had the century summer when the temps got even higher and stayed that high over weeks. Which isn't normal. You never can predict summer in Germany. One year it is hot and warm, another it is cool and rainy.

There is a key left of the "1" where the ^ and ° are on (on a German keyboard - it differs from the American one)

I should call my aunt tonight and try to catch her. When I go to the lake I can go and seed how my dad's grave looks like also.

97. Sounds like a good weekend
and those symbols aren't on my keyboard.

I remember the news stories about the heat wave in Europe, which is a rare occurance. Is the lake far from you?

98. if the traffic is ok
about 3 1/2 hours. I am thinking about taking the train though. Too hot to drive. Even though I have A/C in my car.

Look for those symbols at the charmap. Unicode signs. Should be there with the Times New Roman letters.

81. I like to listen to this U2 song sometimes when I get up....
"Bad"

If you twist and turn away
If you tear yourself in two again
If I could, yes I would
If I could, I would
Let it go
Surrender
Dislocate

If I could throw this
Lifeless lifeline to the wind
Leave this heart of clay
See you walk, walk away
Into the night
And through the rain
Into the half-light
And through the flame

If I could through myself
Set your spirit free
I'd lead your heart away
See you break, break away
Into the light
And to the day

To let it go
And so to fade away
To let it go
And so fade away

I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
Wide awake
I'm not sleeping
Oh, no, no, no

If you should ask then maybe they'd
Tell you what I would say
True colors fly in blue and black
Blue silken sky and burning flag
Colors crash, collide in blood shot eyes

If I could, you know I would
If I could, I would
Let it go...

This desperation
Dislocation
Separation
Condemnation
Revelation
In temptation
Isolation
Desolation
Let it go

And so fade away
To let it go
And so fade away
To let it go
And so to fade away

I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
Wide awake
I'm not sleeping
Oh, no, no, no
