June Photo Contest -> FLOWERS, Stage 1: Intro and links

The theme for this month is FLOWERS.

There are a total of 29 images produced by participants in DU's Photography Forum which are divided into 2 groups of 10 and 1 group of 9 (due to the 10-entry limit on polls on DU).

The top 2 from each group will go to the Final round, plus the top 4 vote getters among the remaining 23 images. :bounce:

Stage 1 will end on Saturday at 4:30 ET.

The final round will go up Saturday at approx 20:00 ET and end Monday at 9:00 PM ET.

Comments on specific images are encouraged in the thread in which they appear, since part of the purpose of the Photography Forum is to learn from others. General comments about the contest and "kicks" should go in this thread since it provides the links to all three groups.

30. IMPORTANT: a change in the Final Round selection criteria

As many of you have pointed out, one photograph appears in two contests (under different names) and one entry was inadvertently left out of the contest.

To be fair, the photograph that was left out will be given one of the ten slots in the contest's Final Round. This means the Final Round selection criteria is now:

"The top 2 from each group will go to the Final round, plus the top 3 vote getters among the remaining 23 images."

However, if there happens to be a tie among the top three vote getters, I may add an Intermediate Round before the Final Round. In that case the Final Round will consist of the top three vote getters in the Intermediate Round.

There, this should completely muddy the waters, piss off some deserving photographer(s), and - best of all - insure that I will not be anointed "Permanent Contest Host" :evilgrin:
