1. Is that a restaurant?
If so, I would pick Sonic. Same concept as yours, though.

2. A Canadian Institution
Think Starbucks, but for the middle-class; great coffee, the best donuts in the world, and in Canada, a gathering place in just about every community. And Tim Horton was a helluva hockey player, too.

And "Stan Mikita's Donuts" in Wayne's World was based on Tim Hortons..

8. I miss the old signs!
That photo took me back... I don't know where you are, but here (BC) they're going all yuppified/gentrified, with a new cursive-script logo.

And did you know Vancouver didn't have a single Tim Horton's until 1997? And even now, there's only one downtown, and it's not even a stand-alone; it's a Starbucks-esque coffee bar.

No drive-thru!!

9. No way!
I live in Edmonton; there are pretty much still old-style here for the most part.

Even though I'm an expat, I love Tim Hortons like I was born here; I try to describe to my friend down in the states just what's so specuial about it, but I can never do it justice..

10. Great... now I want Timbits!
..... and they aren't exactly available here in Northern California!

Topics like this one are telling me I need a trip home to Ontario soon to get my fix of Canada

A box of Timbits would be perfect right now.... If I caught a plane now, I could at least get to Vancouver in a few hours... I could do breakfast!
