Have you heard the commercial about cell phone plan in which the salesman tries to get away with a fake but impressive number..."one pousand minutes". The wary customer says "What's a POUSAND?!" and the salesman then concocts another fake number representing another "advantage" of this deal. Suddenly, when he realizes the guy has caught on to his dishonest pitch, he blurts out "Look! There's a PUPPY!"
I told my husband Bush* (or Rummy facing the Senate today) could try that tactic when the questions get too heavy for them! (I imagined Bush* actually doing this as Barney or Miss Beazley plays near the Rose Garden during a "press conferance")
