What are you like before your first coffee?
I love coffee, but I don't drink it every day. I don't need it to wake up.

24. Funny, my doctor tells everyone not to drink the stuff
Says it slowly burns out your adrenal gland's ability to produce adrenaline.

Before that first cup I'm the social equivalent of a bear whose hibernation has been disturbed. But I've gone from a three-pot a day habit to just two cups.

19. Mine is decaffeinated.
There really isn't an appreciable difference between me before and after my first cup of coffee.

There is, however, a difference between me pre- and post-workout. I generally workout first thing in the morning, and I feel much better, more awake, and more cheerful afterward.

26. I used to be a 2 pot a day drinker..
put 6 scoops in for a 12 cup coffee maker. STRONG STUFF.

After I found out I was expecting I switched to half-caff and only using 4 scoops for 12 cups.

My cardiologist even yelled at me for the 2 pots a day.. he said something about thats how I can drop weight after having babies :)

27. I'm always before my first cup of coffee.
I'm 44, and in all those years- my total cumulative consumption of hot bean-water is less than 1/2 a cup.

i can't stomach the taste, or even the smell of the swill.

30. Just like you.
I haven't had coffee in about 24 hours so I am functioning. It's just another beverage in the morning. However, if I've been sleep deprived, it's like hell to not have one...
