Favorite summertime songs (oldies division)

Driving into work this morning I popped on the oldies station and the first thing that came on was the Zombies' "Time of the Season" - a summer hit from my childhood and one of my all-time favorite summer songs. Certain songs perfectly evoke a time, and TOTS is one for me.

7. "See You in September".

Not that I knew anyone who ever went away for the summer and would be coming back in "September" but I felt that that song was cool and about a way of life of which I had no idea. In my neighborhood we turned on the fire hydrants and ran through them for fun. And it was, too.
