4. My favorite opera is in czeck, so I can't spell any of the lyrics
Russalke by D'Vorak.

"Ode To The Silvery Moon" is the most famous aria from it. Renee Fleming has recorded it, as have Amici: Forever, the Opera Band. Sarah Brightman had someone translate the lyrics to italian for her "La Lune" cd.

I also love "The Barber Of Seville", even if it always makes me think of Bugs and Elmer Fudd. It's a good, light-hearted opera with a happy ending.

Lord, have mercy on my solo.

Et in terra chicken pox romana;
Sic sic transit gloria mañana;

Lord, have mercy on my solo.

10. A Wandering Minstrel I, a thing of shreds and patches,
of ballads songs and snatches,
and dreamy lullabies....

My catalog is long through every passion raging,

etc..etc..etc.

"I've got a little list, I've got a little list, of society's offenders who if taken by surprise, they never would be missed, I'm sure they'd not be missed.......

I LOVE THE MIKADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would go see a day care production of The MIKADO!!!!!!

I have seen it live three times:
a high school production
a jr college production
a light opera company production

all were wonderful

of course the light opera one was best.

7. I want to be the Queen of the Night from Zauberfloete.
Just a damn shame it's for soprano.

In the absence of that, can I be the Pirate King in the D.U. Lounge production of the Pirates of Penzance (G&S)?

lalalalala

L'amour est un oiseau rebelle
Que nul ne peut apprivoiser
Et c'est bien en vain qu'on l'appelle
C'est lui qu'on vient de nous refuser
