Hermes was closed and having a special PR event
when Oprah was denied entrance. What's the problem Oprah? You got there too late. Deal with it.

1. If her "people" had called ahead....
I'm sure something could have been worked out.

3. probably
According to Hermes, she arrived minutes after the closing hour. Hermes being Hermes, they won't throw out people already in, but simply close the Entrance.

7. Not to sound critical, but is there ANYONE who really cares
about this?

It's a damn sorry commentary on our society that this is even in so many people's awareness.

10. It just annoys me
that this incident is being turned into a racial incident, when all it is is a case of bad timing. They wouldn't let any of us in after hours. There are lots of true racial incidents that loose credibility because of things like this.

8. And now her Legions all pledge to boycott Hermes....
"I'm not gonna shop at that Hermes place, seein' how they treated dear sweet "O" SO shabbily! Why, don't they know she gives away cars, and refrigerators, and BOOB JOBS? Hey, where is that Hermes, anyway? Is it near Discount Den? Or Dollar Bill's? Or is it out by the highway, near the Tractor Supply store? Next to Wal-Mart? Anybody know?"

13. It's always really annoyed me that just because you're a celebrity
People treat you differently. I thought the whole point of a democracy was that we're all created equal. Sorry, but I think celebrities should have to wait in lines, honor the hours of establishments and suffer the same minor inconveniences the rest of us do.

14. I think Oprah should be boycotted
for being such a self centered, arrogant, attention whore.

Poor little princess got a taste of what the real people deal with. I would never expect a store to allow me after it closed, but then I have respect for the people working there - something Oprah hasn't allowed to cross her beautiful little mind.
