More zoo pics . . . More Prairie Dogs :)
I swear, these guys are just so fun to watch. I'd love to photograph them in their natural habitat instead of a zoo :)

Of course tapirs are also pretty funny critters. This guy kept sticking his tongue out at me:

And, a strutting peacock (too bad he wasn't showing off his tail)

This little guy was awesome. He's a full grown African Pygmy Falcon. Unfortunately, he lives behind a mesh screen, and it really messes up pictures :(. He's still a pretty good lookin little fella:

And of course some more of our taller (and shorter striped) friends:

13. Awesome pics, dude!!
Those are great! You have a great eye for them, and a great zoom, too, it seems :) Have you ever been to the Providence Zoo to take pics? There are some wonderful animals there... tiny monkeys who I could spend all day watching and photographing, I think!

26. Cool!!
Better to get there early, when they open. By a few hours later, it's packed. If you go through the tiny-monkey house, could you try to get a pick of the little guy with blue hair for me? He's cool :)

20. Yes, all were shot with the D70, most with a Sigma 80-400 OS lens
(all the pics on this thread were with that lens, the other thread has a butterfly pic that was shot with a macro lens).
