My cellphone just got wet ... oh what a night .
My cellphone how just got wet . I just took the battery out of it immediately and I have it sitting under my desklap . Anybody else know what to do ? I might as well go buy a new phone but this sucks .

1. I dunno.. but I have washed a thumb drive twice in the laundry now
and I believe it still works. Maybe the phone will survive too?

Long story, but in the end the phone was dead. Had to replace it.

3. Mine survived my son tossing it in the pool
but then it died a few months later when my aunt dropped it in a toilet.
It you take it apart as much as you can and don't use it until it's totally dry it may survive.

4. Keep the battery out
air dry. You can use a hairdryer (lo or no heat) to accelerate the process. The odds of survival are higher than you might think. I just hope this isn't an Erikson.

7. Its alright - not a big thing but damn ...
First my computer died on me and I had to buy a whole new system and now I am out to replace my phone .

8. We had one go through the washer and dryer.
Still worked. It died for other reasons.

9. i washed mine
and my daughter left her`s outside in the snowy mud for two days.. both worked fine after drying out. it does take awhile for the screen to come back on

11. I got mine wet
and ever since then the display is faded. I don't know how to get it back to normal. But it still works, just hard to see the display.
