It sucks
it sucks to be lied to over a year
it sucks to be back in the game
it sucks that none of my relationships lasted longer than a year
it sucks to have no trust in the male species at the moment (sorry guys, I know you aren't all such assholes)
it just sucks

1. Honey, what happened?
Did you confront him?

That seriously sucks. To find your worst crime was trusting someone so completely is the rudest awakening, a cold slap across the face. You deserve a real man.

"it sucks to be back in the game"

I know, baby. We're all thinking about you.

2. nothing happend yet
he hasn't contacted me yet. I don't know if or when he will. I think he is scared to contact me since the other girl told him she is going to call me. He is coming back today from the States. No idea when. I really thought I found a good man who I can love and trust. I hate the thought right now to go out there and start dating again. I am not talking about right now. But even in the near future. It sucks to know that I will spend the summer again alone and to see all the couples out there holding hands and kissing.

3. Yeah...it does suck. A lot.
If I were you , I'd take a break from the game for a bit. Focus on yourself for a while. You'll know when you're ready to jump back in again.

But then I'm a stinky boy, what do I know? :P

4. I guess a lot more than me
:)

I guess taking a break isn't the worst idea. It is just I am 30 already and if I want to have kids I can't wait that much longer anymore.

5. One of my best friends didn't get married until she was 34.
She had her fist child at 35. You've got time.

10. Better to not have kids with...
an a$$hole father. My stepdaughters have an alcoholic, abusive father and continue trying to get past it 18 years later.

I do wish you better in the future. I hate narcisstic a$$holes.

11. Oh, I am glad I didn't get pregnant by him
and he pressed me quite a time already to stop taking the pill. Had enough sense left to not do it.

And thanks

7. I know enough men who are good men
except they already have women. I didn't had the luck yet to find some of those for myself.

BTW Next weekend I will be at my moms place near Basel

12. I know it sucks.. I was there..
I was lied to for 4 1/2 yrs and 2 kids later. It doesnt get any easier and during the next relationship its under constant scrutiny. After I got married, my husband asked me if I now finally believe him. He always told me to stop comparing and thinking he was doing or going to do the same thing as my ex. My first anniversary is coming up in August so the bad luck does eventually come to an end.

There IS someone out there for you. Its the matter of weeding the others out to find the right one.

Good luck!

13. it will get hard to trust the next man
I know that. I will try not to do it but if I won't see him on a regular basis .... you know what I mean.

There seems to be a lot of weed these days :)

15. Honey, it will get better!

After enough time passes you will wonder why you ever bothered to be upset. And I think taking a break would be a good idea. It will give you a chance to lose some of the bitterness. Don't fret too much. That guy was an asshat who has no idea what a great thing he lost with you!

16. I try not to think too much about him
during the day, when I am occupied it is working. But not at night or in the morning when I wake up and my first thought is why he did it. I know I won't find an answer and it pisses me that I can't stop thinking about his dirty lies.

18. I know
what I want right now is telling him how I feel about him and that I don't want him in my life anymore. Period. No call, no email, no chat. Just leave me the f* alone.

21. When you do let him have it,
do not give him ANY chance to respond. It will be like exorcising a demon, I expect, and he can't have the satisfaction of responding.

You will feel a bit better after that.

24. I never went on vacation with him
he did that with the other two. My summer vacation I will spend with my mom and her bf. And I am used to travelling alone. I did it before and will do it again. Mhm ... maybe I could come visit you now sooner than thought :)

25. the one place we won't visit
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 09:27 AM by Joan_Alpern
is Cape Cod ... the vacation we had there back on Columbus Day weekend in 2002 was my first time to the Cape. It still bothers me a little when I drive to Boston because we took the same route as I just did this past weekend. *sigh*

... sometimes love just ain't enough ...

Now, I don't want to lose you
but I don't want to use you
just to have somebody by my side.
And I don't want to hate you,
I don't want to take you
but I don't want to be the one to cry.

And that don't really matter to anyone anymore.
But like a fool I keep losing my place
and I keep seeing you walk through that door.

But there's a danger in loving somebody too much,
and it's sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust.
There's a reason why people don't stay where they are.
Baby, sometimes, love just ain't enough.

Now, I could never change you
I don't want to blame you.
Baby, you don't have to take the fall.
Yes, I may have hurt you, but I did not desert you.
Maybe I just want to have it all.

It makes a sound like thunder
it makes me feel like rain.
And like a fool who will never see the truth,
I keep thinking something's gonna change.

And there's no way home
when it's late at night and you're all alone.
Are there things that you wanted to say?
And do you feel me beside you in your bed,
there beside you, where I used to lay?

And there's a danger in loving somebody too much,
and it's sad when you know it's your heart they can't touch.
There's a reason why people don't stay who they are.
Baby, sometimes, love just ain't enough.

Baby, sometimes, love... it just ain't enough.
