Day 60....with still no washing machine. June 26th my ass.
And they tell me that can't "fit me in" after waiting for two f-ing months. I really don't believe I have ever in my life been this angry. I am actually seeing red right now.

Again with the "Ma'am, you have to understand..." F that. Whoever on here that said last month I should have just paid an outside source for the repair was right. With all the money I've spent on lost work while waiting for the repairman, to laundry bills etc.

1. Buy a service agreement
I have a service agreeement on my stove. I'm buying the washer and dryer at the same place and I'll buy one for that too.

I'm using the same one that I got my Home Protection policy from the first year which is good.

You can get the service agreement even on appliances you don't buy through the company.

I know Sears has a lot of problems, but this is one service they do well.

3. Do you have any news stations that have a call for action?
Our area has it, with a reporter that will investigate and give a report on tv as to whether the company took care of the problem or not. There's nothing worse than televised news coverage that a business is putting off doing its job.

6. Hope it can be resolved soon. It must be difficult to be without your
washer for that long.

7. Now, day 60 eve...and I'm ready to rip somebody's gosh darned head
off. We're contacting an attorney as of tomorrow. They're going to buy these puppies back, as I figured out I've lost between 1200 and 1500 dollars income on a P.O.S. $1000 washer.

10. You have my sympathy
Not that it does you a damn bit of good! Still, I know how that feels - I spent years without, making treks to the laundromat. The crappiest thing about that is you can't do anything else BUT laundry - when you have a machine at home, you can throw a load in and do other things. But at the laundromat, you're stuck. Or you can pay the attendant to do it but I could never afford that.

The worst was when I was so poor, I was doing all my laundry in my bathtub by hand (no joke - did it for about 6 months). Three kids, me and the hubby as well as the guy who lived with us. :nuke:

Hope you're back in working order soon.

13. That's a lot of hard work sky! You never know what you had until you
miss it, or had to do wash by hand. I've been washing some things in the sink by hand and taking huge loads once a week to the laundromat. To the tune of $40. I am beyond upset.

Thanks so much.

11. Isn't there an option where you can do the repairs out of your pocket and
make them reimburse you?

I sure as hell wouldn't wait 2 months for a repairman.

14. No options. I even asked them why I could go online, find the part
and have it overnighted...when they claimed it was on backorder. They said "that's not how they 'do' things"...I asked them why they don't change how they 'do' things when it's been 2 months and a customer is hopping mad. These people are incredibly rude and incredibly stupid.

12. A little late to the story but....
1. Why is it taking so long?
2. Are you getting your old one fixed or did you just go out and buy a new one?
3. If you're getting your old one fixed, why? Just buy a new one.
4. If you're buying a new one, again, why is it taking so long?

5. How the hell have you been Mrs. Grumpy? Besides the wash machine mess????!!?!?!?

:hi:

15. Here are the answers....
1. The original part was backordered (snort) for two weeks. Then the repairman (double snort) broke the machine while putting the new part in and the part to fix what he broke was back orderd for 7-10 days that turned into 3 and a half weeks (beyond snorting).

2. It is a new machine, a Maytag Neptune that we bought to the tune of $1000 (never again) last year.

3. It's a new machine, only a year old and the set cost us $1800 so I would hate to buy a new one.

4. No new machine being purchased at this time, but we are suing Home Depot for the cost of this one.

5. Other than this, I am doing okay, but this is pretty much coloring my whole life right now. Thanks for asking. How are you doing? I miss you! :loveya:

16. LOL!
Not at your story but at the snorts!

Every time you put 'snort', I just started to laugh! "Double snort!"

What a runaround!

Yeah, I wouldn't have bought a new one either put jeez weez, who the fuck are these people handling your machine?!?!?!

You better not have to pay for this. I hope your lawsuit works out in your favor.

Snort, snort, snort....:)

That sucks! My mom has a Neptune-I'll warn her about your story.

They should reimburse you for the price of sending your laundry out. Seriously.
