Best show on TV: MTV's Pimp My Ride
I swear TV doesn't get any better than the 30 minute show on MTV where RapStar Xzibit finds the crappiest junkers in existances and turn them into some really pimped out rides.

Last night was the Season 4 premiere and they took a neardeath 1976 AMC Pacer and turned it into such a killer funky car that hell, I want one! And believe me, this pacer was in such bad shape that it had rat droppings everyone including a massive pile-up under the back seat PLUS they found the rat living in the car!!

Who else would put 18 wheels, a rag top, yellow shag carpetting AND a juice bar in a 76 Pacer other than the guys at West Coast Customs. If you haven't watched this show, make time out for it because it's the funnest 30 minutes on TV

18 wheels just sounded wrong.

3. kinda pointless if they leave "about to die engines" in.
To bad they generally ONLY fix up the insides of these 100 dollar cars.

The ragged out engine and transmission is left UNTOUCHED, ready to fail at any moment….

I prefer “Overhaulin” just for that reason, the WHOLE car get fixed up, not just the looks.

5. They've fixed up plenty of engines
they just don't spend much time talking about it on the show since it's really to showcase all the tricked out stuff they do on the cars

7. The problem with this show is
I'm about to give my new driver son my old 1987 Camaro. He should be thinking about new tires and fixing the alternator but instead he talks about getting interior DVD players and crazy "pimp my ride" stuff ...

This mutha a cool enough as she is ...

9. Hmmmmm
I'm afraid he can only keep the car if he grows a mullet. That is a mullet car (not that there's anything wrong with that).

8. Good TV? "Entourage"
Vinny Chase and the Gang!
2nd to none!
Always stay tuned for Lisa Kudrow's neurotic ridden Valerie Cherish in "Comeback".

10. Once in a while they'll get a car that's beyond fixing
and will treat the owner to a new one. The show is a lot of fun, but I wonder where the owners - inevitably young kids - get the money to pay for the increased insurance on these newly "pimped" rides. Those cars just scream "Steal me."

11. The second they've got me convinced they COULDN'T find a worse car

they always do!

I felt particularly sorry for the skate kid who drove a former police car. The cops would pull him over to make sure he hadn't killed a cop and stolen it, and the other skate kids would shun him because they thought he was a cop! You just can't make stuff like that up!

I have to admit I was worried when they were presented with a 1955 Bel Air. I was afraid they'd just over-bling it, but I was very pleased that they figured out haw to add digital dashboard gauges and DVD monitors without compromising the aesthetic integrity of the car.

Another time, Xzibit was ready to drive this girl's car away and asked for the keys. She reached over and turned on the ignition with her bare hand. But my all-time favorite is the guy who would honk his horn and his windshield wipers would start!

This '76 Pacer show sounds like a classic, though. I'll be sure an keep an eye out for it in reruns!

12. HEY NOW!!!!
HEY NOW!!

Be Nice, I drive an old police car too, LOL actually a Caprice very much like the once they pimped out!!!

I love it, I could have bough many more expensive cars, I chose to buy an 1994 (9C1 Package) car, with the corvette engine, as the ULTIMATE cheap high performance family car!!

It is basically an Impala SS with a MORE AGGRESSIVE handling and cooling package

And I have gotten “thumbs up” from cops before in it, they miss the old LT1 engined caprice, it was a MUCH faster car then the newer fords. LOL is faster than the old Mustangs they used to us too!!

But I was discerning, when I bought it, it is an UNMARKED north Carolina State Police car, in blue, WITH NO SPOTLIGHTS, and since it was unmarked no lightbar.

And It came in a nice shade of blue!

13. They knew there were mice/rats in the Pacer
but when they removed the back seat it was like a freaking litterbox that hadn't been emptied out in 3 years. The guys were all wearing hazard suits cleaning out that car

14. I love that VW Bus the hooked up.
Some of their other stuff I don't really care for, but that VW was a work of art.
